“Secret Revenge” by K.S. Fause

This short story is based on the real historical figure known only as Agent 355.  Historically, we don’t have many concrete facts about this woman.  For one, historians don’t even know her true identity.  One thing we do know is that she was a female spy who worked for General George Washington during the Revolutionary War.  She’s also rumored to have been the patriot who turned over Benedict Arnold as a traitor.  For this story, I created Agent 355 as Peggy Arnold’s sister, who was Benedict’s wife.  As the story moves forward, Agent 355 is caught in quite a dilemma when she learns not only that her brother-in-law is a traitor, but that her sister has been involved in his schemes as well.
